Selected
passages from the Bible's four gospels served as the inspiration for Heinrich
Schutz's work Die Auferstehung unseres Herren Jesu Christi (History of the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ). It is a monumental piece of music, hailed as «very
brilliant» by writers like Walter Simon Huber. This work can be categorised
into «symbolic» themes and motifs that employ «excessive triads» and «surprising»
tonal alterations; it is also classified as an oratorio (Heinrich-Schütz-Haus
Bad Köstritz, 2024).
According to
Manfred Bukofzer, Schütz «was probably the greatest master of the art of
setting words to music, in which the content of the words is not destroyed and
where the verbal form does not weaken the musical form». Schütz was also able
to overcome the musical barriers of «unity between word and tone» resulting
from the Latin text's translation into German. It is said that Schütz's
inspiration could have come almost exclusively from Holy Scripture because of
his attachment to the Lutheran tradition. Howard Smither states that despite
the lack of dedication in this piece, Schutz's intention was for it to be «used
for spiritual, Christian edification in princely chapels and chambers at
Eastertime» (Leaver, 1985; Maize, 2011).
The text in
the box below is from a book of a collection recording that was made in 2012 at
the archipretale church of St. Giacomo, Polcenigo (Pordenone), Italy, and was
released by Brilliant Classics record company. Matteo Messori directed the
Cappella Augustana ensemble that took part in the recording.

Am Abend aber der Sabbathen, welcher anbricht am Morgen des ersten Tages der Sabbathen sehr früh, da es noch finster war, kommen sie zum Grabe, da die Sonne aufging, und trugen die Spezereien, die sie bereitet hatten. Er ist nicht hie, er ist auferstanden, wie er gesagt hat. Und sie kamen zusammen mit den Ältesten und hielten einen Rat und gaben den Kriegsknechten Geldes genug und sprachen: Die Hohenpriester: Saget, seine Jünger kamen des Nachts und stahlen ihn, dieweil wir schliefen, und wo es wird auskommen beim Landpfleger, wollen wir ihn stillen, und schaffen, daß ihr sicher seid. Evangelist: Und sie nahmen das Geld und taten, wie sie gelehret waren. Und sie redeten miteinander von allen diesen Geschichten, und es geschah, da sie so redeten und befragten sich miteinander, nahet Jesus zu ihnen und wandelte mit ihnen. Aber ihre Augen wurden gehalten, daß sie ihn nicht erkannten, denn in einer andern Gestalt erschien er ihnen. Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Jesus: Was sind das für Reden, die ihr zwischen euch handelt unterwegen und seid traurig? gardener but was actually Jesus, hoping to get an answer right away.
Who are we
looking for amid the chaos that currently surrounds the world? The discoveries
of quantum physics gave rise to chaos theory, which has gradually been
incorporated into the canon of modern language. This allows us to say that
everything (including ourselves) is made of energy operating inside an
unstable, chaotic system that ultimately reaches equilibrium on its own. Physics
has the power to change our perspectives and give us a better understanding of
the world we live in. When humanity discovered classical physics, our
perception of the cosmos underwent a significant shift. After we learned that
the Earth is not the centre of the universe, we reasoned that God created the
world and then left us to take care of it. Darwin made it clear to us that our
remote predecessors were, at most, fish. Then, the humans, derived from fish,
took over as the world's owners, rulers, and legislators when the Creation “hypothesis”
was rejected.
Outcomes
for 2024: we are at the brink of a Third World War; we are in the midst of a Second Cold War in a world that is rapidly dividing into two seemingly
incompatible blocks; and, most importantly, we are witnessing a public and live
demonstration of the idea that a human being is a selfish and manipulable
object that can be easily destroyed and, with luck, can become a hero if he
dies in the service of economic power. This new world order could be understood
by introducing the concept of chaos into our modern knowledge matrix.
Gradually,
the facile critique that attributed all of the contemporary human problems to
global hegemony will be dropped; to explain the present or the future, it won't
be sufficient. Everyone is welcome to chaos and instability. Gradually, each
player starts to reveal their cards and intents. Freedom and democracy lead
public discourse in the West. A scream for win-win collaboration and the
establishment of new international organisations that gradually expose the
advantages of trading outside of the dollar may be heard in the eastern Dragon.
Provocation and survival defence are daily topics of conversation throughout
Dnieper River. It is clear that the remaining European colonies have changed
hands in Africa. Tension in East Asia is rising like froth, and there is a
latent sense of confrontation in 2025. A new regional hegemon succeeds the old
one in the Middle East, where a genocide occurs in front of everyone's eyes. A
new global partner of NATO appears in Patagonia. Internally irritated, the
Emperor has grown weary of the millions of migrants, the idea of free money and
controlled inflation has been forgotten, instability exists, and there are even
hints of a potential civil war. The neutrality of the Swiss Alps is starting to
fade. Even worse are the ever louder warning signals that each and every player
is sending regarding the deployment of nuclear weapons; everyone talks about
survival, and many say they would die glad, just like Samson, if they lost.
Chaos
breeds foolish desperation and causes instability virtually everywhere.
Consider the recently released documentary Hispanidad from last year. The goal
of this inspiring tale of "brotherhood" is to make-up for the
mistakes committed by the Spanish Crown on the continent. It's a narrative of
clumsy deception that hides the appropriation, domination, hegemony, and
imposition of a culture. The narrative is especially interested in penetrating
"Hispanic" society, especially Mexican society, since it has the
greatest attraction within the other countries in the region: the northern
border. But let's not forget, to use a straightforward illustration, what
occurs when radical movements start in a country that shares a border with a
superpower. During the first Cold War,
in 1968, there was a tremendous student movement with communist undertones in
Mexico; the army would come and go from the universities as it pleased, and
there would be protests everywhere. On October 2nd, in a residential
neighbourhood surrounded by big buildings with vast esplanades, perhaps someone
with a black conscience decided to plan a march. At the height of the protest,
soldiers positioned themselves on buildings and opened fire on the
demonstrators. That afternoon, between three and four hundred persons perished,
and over a thousand students spent years behind bars and lived under continual
surveillance. Every young person was manipulated and deceived, and their
stories were lost, muddled, and forgotten. This makes the ridiculous narrative
that Spanish "influencers" are pushing, which even calls for the «unification» of
the Hispanic people, malicious. This should teach us all a valuable lesson: a
superpower's neighbour should never be a threat to it. If not, we may ask the
neighbours of the superpowers whose names we always see in the headlines, as
well as the Caribbean island that is reachable by swimming from Miami.
The
everyday rhetoric emanating from this "friendly" group of influencers declaring
that «Hispanic America must be ours» might be summed up as follows: There is an
MI6 agent working for the Anglo Empire in every British person; the British
have nearly total control over American policy, and United Kingdom is the
empire's butler and strategist. In addition, Mexico shields the hegemon and
helps to secure its southern border, making the Emperor seem like an island
that no one can approach. This makes us Mexicans foolish, obedient, and
incapable of standing up to our northern neighbour. They see in Trump "the
solution" to all problems, much like a kind of patron saint, to whom they surely
light a candle every night before praying. Morocco is getting ready to invade
Spain, which George Soros has divided up. Their biggest worry is becoming a
third-world or "banana" country, so all they can think to do is read One
Thousand and One Nights again, over and over. For whom should these "influencers" search?
As if it
were a surreal paint of Dali, we start to hear a lot about groups of nations
that make distinctions between “good” and “bad”; they accuse each other mercilessly
every day, and their only real plan is to compete for natural resources,
economic dominance, and the ability to make the best speech to the masses.
What sets
our Moden society apart from others civilizations self-destructed by war or
other causes? Are we really special and "superior" to these?
Remember, the chaos can be used to explain the climate; as well as the recent
past is thought to be the strongest predictor of future climatic conditions.
Chaos begins to be used to explain many events. That means that if Little Boy
and Fat Man dropped from the sky in the past, it's conceivable that other bombs
will go off too, maybe with female names to make them inclusive or accompanied
with an image of a rainbow to make them incredibly inclusive. It is obvious
that self-destruction is feasible, even more so when we consider that there is
a Samson inside each of them who is eager to die with others. For whom shall
they search?
In this
pandemonium, Whom ought we to search for? With all of our hearts, who should we pursue?
The Truth is found in Jesus of Nazareth, the only Son of God born of the Holy Virgin Mary without original sin. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the
sin of the world. God reconciled the world to himself in Christ. Jesus taught
us to love others as oneself during his Public Ministry. Every single one of us
was created in the image and likeness of God. When it comes to advancing world
peace, Christians ought to set the example.
Physics
breakthroughs revolutionised our understanding of the universe. The idea of the
dead god, the thought of the nonexistent god, and the idea of the slothful god
who dozed off after creating the earth were all abandoned. It is important to
acknowledge that there is an inherent message when discussing our connection to
the universe as simple energy: let go of The Mystery of the Incarnation. Since
we are ultimately made of energy, an increasing number of voices are joining
forces to believe that, by virtue of our connection to the cosmos, we are also
co-creators of it.
Presently, The
Mystery of the Incarnation is believed to be a metaphor; most people are
sensitive to the word Sin, and few people utter the term Salvation. In addition
to being "metaphorical", the concepts of Salvation, Revelation, and Sin
seem to raise questions about the logic and reason of those who articulate
them. The idea of the human-energy being as god, whose ultimate goal is to
transcend the universe in energy, replaces atheism in modern civilization. It
seems that the creations of human-gods replace the selfishness with something
far more odious. So, whatever decision these creatures made, it would be "the
right decision". If these creatures had control over the world economy and could
wipe out everything in order to preserve their own survival, that would be a
nightmare come true.
Then, whom
ought we to seek? On special dates such as Easter, we Christians gather to
commemorate the Death and Resurrection of our genuine Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Not in the news, commentators, social media "influencers", or even in the
academic community can one find the Truth. God is the source of Truth; via his
one and only Son, he sent one of the most crucial lessons: love your neighbour
as yourself. Set aside the sadness and hopelessness that this weird and chaotic
world brings us in order to view Jesus clearly and avoid mistaking him for
someone else, like Mary Magdalene did.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". (John 14:6)
