Fanny Mendelssohn was born on November 14, 1805, an extremely talented composer. However, some of her work was published under the name of Felix Mendelssohn simply because she was a woman. More than two hundred years have passed since her birth and the role of women has changed at a snail's pace and even worse in underdeveloped countries.
Summer is over, and with it go many of the popular music festivals. I was very excited listening to The Proms, orchestras from all over the UK, and some from abroad, put on beautiful programmes, also included a lot of world premieres - despite the sad moments - The Proms was the festival of the summer. About the Musikfest Berlin, I loved that it included a program of spiritual concerts of Christian Music, although it did not last long. Regarding the George Enescu International Competition, the opening program was great and my favorite was the recital by David Geringas, who I hadn't heard live (online) before, his playing is wonderful!
With the start of the new seasons, many opening programmes included works by Mahler, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra -Symphony No. 2 in C minor or National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan -Symphony No. 7, among others, (we still have to enjoy the “Resurrection” symphony by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Della Rai on next October 19th on Rai 3 or Rai 5). September was the month of Mahler's works! I was fascinated that the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Филармония Шостаковича, included in its opening season programme a composition for cello and orchestra, Shostakovich Concerto No. 1, all of them, were playing every note very beautifully.
On the other hand, I am overjoyed that the first live broadcasts of Christmas programs have already been announced, and it could not be other than WDR Klassik channel. From my point of view, the channel really has paid attention to its audience over the years, the staff is also always kind and friendly, and they answer comments and questions. The Christmas songs have been scheduled on December 22, while for New Year's Eve they have prepared a programme with adaptations of jazz and classical music, directed by Cristian Macelaru, Wow!
I thank all of you for your comments!! I update the blog daily, I send you all lots of love and sweetness!! 💗💗💗
